Bedrest

Well last night I had to go to the maternity ward again to get monitored. I was having contractions and they felt stronger than the ones a few weeks ago. So we went in as the doctor told us to. Got all hooked up to monitors, sure enough having contractions 2 to 5 minutes apart. They did the pre-term labor test again, still waiting on the results on that. I got a shot of some medicine to stop the contractions, which worked. My cervix hadn’t changed since I was in two weeks ago, so that was good news that the contractions still aren’t doing anything. So they sent me home on bed rest and the only thing I can get up for is to go to the bathroom. Now we have to figure out what we are going to do for the week days so hopefully Brett can get into work for a few hours.

I wish I was closer to be done with this pregnancy because I am done. I can barely move my legs because baby hit a nerve or my hips are just really soft I don’t know. I just hurt and I am done. This is my last pregnancy ever because I am going to get my tubes tied right after I have Josiah.

  1. Check out my blog about the pain in your hips. It sounds like you might have what I had: http://womantowomancbe.wordpress.com/2008/02/12/pain-in-pregnancy/

I’ve got the symptoms on this post as well as a simple exercise to help you, plus a link to another website that has some tips for coping and other things that may solve it.

  2. Hang in there! You are doing so well! I had a friend on extreme bedrest last year, who was told only to get up to go to the bathroom–at nineteen weeks. No meals, few showers, etc. Hang in there, your work, or boredom I guess, will be worth it when you see that it kept Josiah safe and warm where he needed to be for a little longer.

We’re praying for all of you! It’s nice to hear that you have found some things you can do from your horizontal position.

    Prayers! Prayers! Prayers!
