What? Moving zucchini’s? What the heck kind of blog title is that? Just a mashup of what went on this weekend. I’m weird, in case you didn’t know.
We moved all our rooms around this weekend. All the girls moved into mine and Tracy’s old room. Tracy and I took Tanisha’s room, and Greggory got Kate and Ang’s old room. And it was a lot of work, let me tell you.
The moving work actually began over a month ago. Brett (me) began cleaning my books out, then began cleaning our room up and organizing and getting rid of stuff. Then, a week ago, I began to tear into stuff pretty heavily, boxing up what I could. I also did a big, major cleaning of the girls rooms. Tanisha cleaned her room, but not like I would have liked (there wasn’t an inch on the floor that didn’t have paper or garbage on it when we got all the crap out of her room.)
Friday night came the furniture move. My brother in law Jeremy came over to help. We actually got most of the furniture into my room and the girls room. Saturday we finished moving the furniture and began putting stuff where it belonged. There was a slight delay in that the phone jack in our room stopped working (no phone = no DSL.) I got my tools from work and fixed the phone jacks. I also tidied up the cables.
While Jeremy and I were slaving away Saturday, the ladies took the kids to the zoo. Let’s say that we worked and also had beer and watched football.
Today, after church, I made fried zucchini and some zucchini bread. With chocolate chips! YUMMY! I can’t wait to eat some.
